Poem – Seaside Gentry

I met a seagull named

He only had one eye.

When I asked him why,

He said,

“I lost a fight with

A swordfish named

I met a swordfish named

He only had half a fin.

“It weren’t no kin,”

He said.

“It was bitten off

By a shark named

I met a shark named

He had no teeth.

“You can’t eat a reef,”

He said.

“Now all my teeth

Washed up

On the beachth.”
