Photo Prompt – The Nature of Writing #8

Advertisements

Hello Readers, Writers, Teachers, and Children! I often take inspiration from nature when I’m writing, and I love to photograph flowers, trees, insects, and anything else that will be still long enough. So, I’ve decided to combine the two with The Nature of Writing photo prompt.

I’m not sure what ate these leaves, but the cutouts are astonishingly perfect!

Take this photo for inspiration and run with it! Whatever you happen to discover, leave it or link it in the comments below. And remember to stop and smell the garlic blossoms!

Hello Readers, Writers, Teachers, and Children! I often take inspiration from nature when I’m writing, and I love to photograph flowers, trees, insects, and anything else that will be still long enough. So, I’ve decided to combine the two with The Nature of Writing photo prompt.

When I took this picture, I thought that I must’ve gotten a one-in-a-million shot. Turns out, bees often hang from these flowers. One year later, I got an almost identical shot from the same flower bush.

Take this photo for inspiration and run with it! Whatever you happen to discover, leave it or link it in the comments below. And remember to stop and smell the garlic blossoms!

Flash Fiction – Matteo the “Mouse”

Advertisements

Zippy Flash Fiction

Inspired by: September 17: Flash Fiction Challenge

On a little island in a big ocean, there lived a family of brown mice. There was a papa mouse, a mama mouse, six little mice, and… Matteo. Matteo always felt a little out of place. For one thing, he didn’t look like other mice. He had dark spots around his eyes, his hair was blondish brown, his toes were too grabby, his tail was too wrappy, his snout was too big, and his nose was too pink. Well, there’s a good reason for that. Matteo wasn’t a mouse. He was a mouse opossum. But he didn’t know that.
